Questions

Why use water flumes for reception?

Water cushions mechanically harvested tomatoes during unloading and carries them gently to washing while sand and stones settle out.

Can the wash water be recycled?

Yes. Bigtem designs water re-circulation systems for tomato unloading, with screening and settling, to reduce fresh water use.

Can one reception line feed both dice and paste lines?

Yes. A distribution pool can split the flow between a dice line and a paste line.
