Main machines

Bigtem automatic bin dumping line with bin conveyors

Automatic bin dumping

Bins are conveyed and tipped automatically into the washer.

Bigtem universal roller size grader

Universal size grader

Rollers separate fruit into size lanes before pitting.

Bigtem cup-up conveyor with inspection belt for fruit halves

Cup-up & inspection conveyor

Turns halves cup side up and presents them for inspection.

Peeling without lye

The Gentle steam peeler uses low-pressure steam, so the fruit stays intact and no caustic water has to be treated.

Questions

Can peaches be peeled without lye?

Yes. The Gentle steam peeler uses low-pressure steam to loosen the skin, then the skin is washed off. No caustic chemicals are needed.

What is a cup-up conveyor?

After pitting, peach halves must lie cup side up for inspection and further processing. The cup-up conveyor turns them and presents them on an inspection belt.

Freezing or canning?

The front end is the same. After slicing or dicing, product goes to blanching and IQF freezing, or to filling, syrup dosing and pasteurizing for cans and jars.
