Line flow
How the line works
Bins are tipped gently by a pallet box dumper into an automatic corer and halver. Halved heads are inspected and trimmed, then sliced; florets bypass the slicer. Product is washed in a two-stage vortex washer with an insect and snail trap, then pumped by an offset-volute food pump through a chilled sanitizing pipeline.
A dewatering feeder delivers product to continuous spin dryers. Dried leaves are weighed by a multihead weigher into pouches with gas flushing, checkweighed and metal detected, then packed for the cold store.
